Existing qualitative fit testing methods, like irritant smoke, banana oil, saccharin, and Bitrex® are inherently limited to pass/fail levels and a fit factor of 100. OSHA and NFPA require a protection factor of at least 500 for full-face respirators, and ANSI requires 1000. There's no qualitative method that meets these standards.
TSI's PortaCount® Pro family eliminates the guesswork associated with tedious and error-prone qualitative fit test methods.
